About the AcEngine

 

the AcEngine is an easy to use game engine built on top of the cipher game engine. it provides extra functionality for both 2D and 3D in-game mechanisms using a native C++ programming language. new additions to the 2D environment include a whole library of ui objects such as dialogs, listboxes, menus, etc and also some transitions to go along with them. on the 3D side of things, features have been added to standordize the way a cipher application deals with entities such as models, lights, particle effects, skyboxes, etc. features have also been added to support billboards, foliage replicators, etc much like those in the torque game engine. 3D objects can also be transformed in-game in terms of position, scale, and rotation very easily. the AcEngine will be sold for a small price for those that dont contribute, or will be made open source and free for those that do. and we encourage everyone to contribute :)


         

  How to join?

 

there will always be a list of features and tasks wed like to accomplish and anyone that thinks they have the ability to complete a task can feel free to contact us, and do so. send us the code and once we work it into the project, youll get download access to the source files. if your really excited about this and add alot of features to the project, youll get commit access to the cvs. were trying to promote a good open community project and not just leechers and lamers :p
